Welcome to Basil. These terms govern your access to and use of our beta menu planning service. By using Basil, you agree to these terms.
Beta Service
Basil is in beta and may change or be interrupted at any time. Features can be modified or removed without notice, and we do not guarantee availability, performance, or uptime.
Account Eligibility & Responsibilities
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate, complete registration information. Keep your credentials secure and notify us of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Acceptable Use
Use Basil solely for household meal planning. Do not misuse the service, attempt to disrupt or probe our systems, generate abusive or harmful AI outputs, or violate any laws while using Basil.
Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the content and data you provide. Basil owns and reserves all rights to the service, software, and brand. Using Basil does not grant rights to our intellectual property beyond what is needed to use the service.
Health & Liability
Basil is not a nutritionist or medical service and does not provide dietary, allergy, or health advice. You are responsible for confirming ingredients and suitability of any meals. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Basil is provided “as is” without warranties, and our liability to you is limited.
Termination & Data
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or for service security and integrity. You may stop using Basil at any time and can request account deletion; we will delete your data except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts located there.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post changes here and, for material updates, provide additional notice (such as email or in-app messaging). Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
